"Salty's Stormy Tale" is a seventh season episode.
Plot
Salty warns Thomas and Percy that a storm is coming, but is upset when the tank engines begin mimicking his voice and thus he is glad when sent to collect Fergus from the smelters. On the way home, the storm arrives and a fuse blows in the lighthouse, confusing a ship captain out at sea. Luckily, Salty and Fergus are passing and Salty suggests that Fergus' flywheel be used to power the generator. When Salty arrives home the next day he is delighted to be lauded by, amongst others, the ship captain and the Fat Controller, even more so when Thomas and Percy apologise.

- Despite playing a major role in this episode, Fergus has only one line: "Right on time".
Goofs
- When Salty backs onto the siding the footage is sped up.
- Salty has a different horn sound than from "No Sleep for Cranky".
- When the Fat Controller arrives to see Salty, you can see the buffers of the truck at the back of Emily's train in front of the shed, if yoou look closely, before Emily shows up alongside Salty.
